apple doesn't make batteries, you have no idea what they pay for them,
and that does't matter anyway.

the guy *fell* off his bike and smashed his phone in the process, which
ruptured the battery and caused it to ignite.

Didn't take much pressure, did it?

were you there?

Guy's thigh and pants to cushion the
blow. It's not like someone hit it with a hammer.

actually it is. he hit pavement.

*he* isn't even blaming apple.

P.S. Batteries are a
cash-cow to cellphone, laptop, tablet and camera makers. This is why you can
buy the same batteries for next to nothing unbranded.

and they're crap.

You have no idea of the impact he sustained when he fell.

Guy's thigh and pants to cushion the blow.

That is pure speculation on your part.

It's not like someone hit it with a hammer.

No, it might actually have been worse.

P.S. Batteries are a cash
-cow to cellphone, laptop, tablet and camera makers.

So, is this why you don't use a cell phone?

This is why you can buy the same batteries for next to nothing unbranded.

Why would you need to?

Unbranded and unsafe, lacking much of the protective gear.

You have once more displayed your knowledge of physics, and batteries.
The next four lines sums it up.

Invest in the Pan newsreader. I saw in one of your sigs that you are a
percenter sooo I know that you can afford one! Then put this in the
bozofile:
