Default 50mm Nikon E vs Nikkor

I have two 50mm lenses for my FE and FE2, both f/1.8:
Nikon Series E
Nikkor
Which is likely to produce better results?
Thanks,
Mike.

Whichever one is in better condition.

Assuming both are in good condition, under most circumstances you
won't see any difference. But due to a lack of multicoating, the
Series E may flare more easily than the Nikkor.

why dont you find out? (regarding: I have two 50mm lenses for my FE and FE2,
both f/1.8: Nikon Series E Nikkor Which is likely to produce better results?)

What an amazingly thoughtless, unhelpful answer. Perhaps the poster wanted to
invest a few minutes for a quick answer, instead of spending an afternoon and
$20.00 of film and processing for an answer?

In an attempt to be more helpful (and more human), I'll point the original
poster to a couple of URLs that have Nikon lens reviews:

http://www.ferrario.com/ruether/slemn.html
http://www.nikonlinks.com/equipment_...ime-normal.htm

Hope this helps. ...pt
