Only downside, couriers cost at least twice as much. If (for example) a camera costs $35.00 to ship to the U.S. (with tracking) then Fedex, Purolator, UPS will be charging at least $70.00 to do the same thing.

When I ship camera stuff, I put "microscope accessory" and the monkeys in the business will never b

sorry, will never know it has any kind of value.

Dpreview:

Lens Rentals Canada has announced that it is temporarily not accepting new orders. A brief notice on lensrentalscanada.com cites 'serious issues' with Canada Post Corporation, and states that current orders will be shipped using Purolator Courier. No estimated timeframe has been given as to when orders will be accepted again.

An email that a reddit user claims was sent to him by Lens Rentals Canada is more to the point, stating 'We are currently halting all shipments with Canada Post as someone at the depot in Mississauga is stealing our boxes.' The notice on the website points out that although Purolator Courier is majority owned by Canada Post, the two companies don't use the same delivery centers or post offices.

So your complaint is that due to a lack of security, a shipper is not
using the insecure company. ???

What is your point?

Point is it is news.

Only for Canadians, renting lenses from Lens Rental Canada.
So for the great majority in this NG, who live a little South of you,
your post was just another waste of bandwidth, further marred by your
use of G2/1.0.

If you are going to continue to seek attention in posting such inane
crap, the least you could do is get a decent Usenet client.

What Canadian Postal Workers stealing mail??? That actually not news,
it's a given fact.

Do it, you morons. You dimwits offer little in this group, it'll die

yourself.

NY vendors, add in your various racist and xenophobic rants. So just
where is your valuable contribution to the photo NGs?

People like RichA are why local photo shops are failing. He goes in
wastes the staff's time then buys online.

EXACTLY! When I managed my store in the 70's, we had people doing that all
the time. Then they would order from B&H and bring the damn thing in and ask
us how to use it. Folks like RichA are the distal sphincters of the
photography world.

Computer vendors charge for support if the emachine is not purchased
from them. I recognize the problems with camera stores doing that, but
if they all did it?
