Gary Fong's LightSphere

Is anybody using one of these? What do you think? Any comparisons to the
diffuser that comes with the Nikon SB800?

Interesting and clever. It should be much shorter, but otherwise if the
color is pretty neutral, it should work fine.

Yeah, the color was my first thought. Even though it looks the same, one
never can tell. Only one way to find out -- run a roll.

You think it should be shorter? I don't have a feel for the size of the
LightSphere, just impressions from photos of it. They look about the same
height to me, though.
