Default Wavelength Calibration

I have a InSpectum CCD spectrograph from acton research. Evey component
seems working. However I have a difficuly in calibrating the wavelengh.
When I try with a mercury lamp and adjust the dailer at 547, as the
instruction in the manual, I get the correct spectrum. However, when I
measure the spectrum of a neon lamp, I observe a wavelength shift. What
do I do wrong and what do you suggest me to do?

This is the wrong group. Try sci.optics or similar. There
are some pretty knowledgable people there.
