[Meta] POLL: Who here would support a moderated version of rec.photo.digital?
"John McWilliams" wrote in message news:kIiCc.99714$0y.29181@attbi_s03... Uh, "WebKatz"- just what is your interest in photograpy? Or are you pushing an agenda? Are you saving us from ourselves? I've been involved in photography since I was old enough to see over the darkroom sink in my Dad's commercial studio. I had a career as a freelance photographer - portraits, modeling, stock. I strung for AP. Even shot a little for Harley Davidson. I ran a pro camera store and worked as a custom B&W printer. When went back to school and changed careers (Web developer), I let the photography drop as a hobby and only picked it up again with the advent of digital. I currently shoot an Oly 5050. You? Dave P.S. No agenda. Just askin' question and makin' comments. |

Dave P.S. No agenda. Just askin' question and makin' comments. I set up a darkroom in a railroad kitchen in NY a lifetime ago, and it was a lot of fun. Then I did a lot of slide work on sail boats, and got all right at that. but never got close to processing or printing color. A very long dormant period, then starting shooting some baby pics, more landscapes, particularly in Yosemite, all with various Canon SLRs, one left on a trolley, one stolen. Now cometh digital, and I document dozens of lacrosse games for the fun of it, may go semi pro in that and related, but real interest now is trying to make some interesting images or works. Still feeling the way along. -- John McWilliams |
