That makes sense. Most new Digital cameras under 5mp aren't going to be
capable of taking any decent photos of the stage at a concert anyway.

'Most' is true. OTOH, I think I'd do okay at even a big concert with a
1D & one or two big f2.8L tele's.

Just make sure you throw a copy of the brochure in your camera bag

Better believe it. I've been shooting concerts for 27 years. It wasn't
until about 1990 that ridiculous photo restrictions started to creep
in. Now it's so bad that there are some performers I won't even bother
to shoot anymore. Wish you could see some of the waivers I've had to
sign just to shoot the first 30 seconds of one song by some of these
prima donnas. Talk about control freaks. Not worth the hassle anymore.
