Default D60: LARGER THAN LIFE !!!

Here's a couple of shots that I took tonight ..... handheld, of course.

The first one is at the Totally Digital D60's native resolution (3072x2048 =
6.3MP).
http://www.pbase.com/image/31283965/original

The next one is an actual-sized crop (to save bandwidth).
http://www.pbase.com/image/31284550/original

1/200, f/16, ISO 100, 550EX, 28-135 IS w/extension tubes

Well, now we'll have to kill you, for you have defied the conspiracy
we Canon users have against posting full-size images.
It's a shame, too, as you do some nice pics.
Leave your front door unlocked to make it easier, OK?

Some of which can be quite colorful up close:

The critter was only sized 5 mm in real life, hanging from the door knob.

By the way, that was a crop from my G3 point and shoot, using a reversed SLR
lens as close-up lens. The image was cropped and downsized a bit to reduce
bandwidth requirements for dial-up connections.

it's to be hoped that a wide angled lens didn't take these

Hello

A difficult shot to do, but it is overexposed and a little bit out of
focus. There is not much you can do except to take many exposures.
The focus leeway is in millimetres. A really steady hand is essential. A
shot like that could be done with a tripod and a focussing rail.

I assume you used TTL flash. The problem is that it sees the background
and attempts to expose for that, with the consequence that the
foreground is overexposed. It also makes a daylight scene look like
night. It is because you are too close. It is a trade off.
Try a underexposure of 1 stop with shots like this. That will make the
background even darker unless you can get some light on to it.

that is a bit of a beastie for sure

I like your creative approach by reversing the lens

It seems a brilliant idea
