Default First bird photo

My wife found a nest in our Holly tree in the back yard and I took a few
shots with my 20D, using a cheap 70-300 lens. I almost always have to use
manual focus with this lens since the auto focus just doesn't cut it. The
photos come out sharp though I like the shot of the mother and baby bird.

I have used Shadow/Highlight to enhance the shot and am wondering if it
looks OK to others. Let me know how you think it looks please.
