That is a good reason to carry insurance to prevent acts of violence when
engaged in candid photography.

How is it dangerous? Millions of street shots taken a day and someONE gets
beaten up. Hardly suggests the odds are against you doing it. The photog was
a coward and an idiot for not reporting it.

A 600mm lens might have helped. It would have given him a head start on his
escape run.

I always carry that sort of insurance, but I'm fortunate to live in an
area where I still can. Lots of people aren't so lucky. including
probably most of the people in your state, and at least a few people
who post here. Vote Trump... even if you hate him.

Being a retired LEO in California helps, I just have to requalify annually
with my carry weapons, that Kimber 1911, and a Glock 23.

Vote Trump... even if you hate him.

All I am going to say is, I didn’t vote for him in 2016, and I have no
intention of voting for him in 2020. The man is seriously dangerous, and
threatens the survival of the Union.

I don't intend to drag politics into this group, but as you might
guess, i think every credible Dem candidate is a serious threat to
this country, not Trump. At the same time, you are clearly not an
idiot, so I'm sure you have at least thought things through, and have
simply come to different conclusions than me.

Sad to say we are on different sides in this mess.

All I can hope for is that more Trump supporters will come to their senses
before November 2020. I truly believe that our democracy will not be able to
withstand a second Trump term, and all the corruption he will foist on us.

It's strange how polarized we've become. With the Dems, I see
corruption PLUS socialism, and don't see how we can survive that.
Beyond that, I see zero corruption with Trump, but I do see the same
deep personality flaws everyone else sees. And I do see the pure
hatred on both sides. It's crazy, and won't be getting better anytime
soon.

From where I stand the worst corruption seems to be the intellectual
corruption which seems to have swamped the democrats.

Agreed. The degree of hatred is apalling.
