Yawn It's an airplane. Airplanes fly. It's flying. /Yawn

https://youtu.be/EW9_e-Uxo9g

I do like the caption says this was a "secret location." Known only to
the dozens of photographers who showed up.

I agree with almost everything that you have said and almost everything that
you will say in your entire life.

Lucky guys. Being able to shoot that close and in that environment is
amazing. Way better than the average airshow.

I’m pleased that you like the item!

That is what happens when you use a canyon that is inside a National Park.
The YouTube poster tried to imply that this was a “secret location” by
posting the lat/lon coordinates for Groom Lake, or “Area 51” which is a
few mile further East in Nevada. That is not where that video was shot.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rainbow_Canyon_(California)

It is an area that is used almost daily by AF, Navy, and Marine Corp, which
means there are usually plenty of photographers on hand to get those shots.
Sometimes bad things happen. Yesterday a navy F/A18E went down during an
exercise, and the pilot is still missing.

Not a good place to go missing in, alive or dead.

I drove an RV across Death Valley back in 2004. It's a /very/ strange
place indeed.

We happened across THIS group! http://www.deathvalley49ers.org/

There's an interesting bit here, too:
