lossless freeware to convert canon raw (300d crw files) and saveexif
My present workflow is to take my crw files (taken with a digital rebel
aka 300d) and convert to tiff using Irfanview. However Irfanview doesn't save the exif when I do this. Since I edit the photos after conversion, I don't want to convert to jpeg because it loses data in the compression. I'd rather not pay $100 for the photoshop plugin to read crw directly. Are there any other freeware solutions? I'm using Windoze XP, I have Photoshop 7. Thanks! jc

The Canon software lists an option to save as exif.TIFF filename_rt8.tif. Page W-37. Does this not work? -- - Charles - -does not play well with others
