Default Need help with setting my camera for 'close up', please.

I have a recently acquired Olympus E-20 and I'm looking at page #40 in
the Reference Manual.

It tells me that to shoot close ups I should press the Macro button,
then turn the Main dial, or the Sub dial, until I see the 'Macro mark'
in either the Control panel or the Viewfinder.

Neither of these options has enabled me to see the Close up icon and I
am wondering if this would indicate that something is wrong with the
camera, or is there something I could be doing differently that would
allow me to shoot close ups?

Your help will be appreciated.

Lewis.
