Canon finally makes an *f4* 70-200 IS...

But it in fact works just fine for candid shots. "Somewhat" soft? That lens was a notorious dog! Nothing to do with 60's vintage - many of whose better lenses are still first rate today. Canon trying to impress with a pointless high-tech exercise - what else is new?
