An old scanned Goerz product sheet lists 9x12 inches as the film size for the red dot lens in shutter, and 18x22" as film size for in-barrel red dot lenses at 1:1. Steve |

Steve These are rather narrow coverage lenses. Typically, they will cover from 45 to 48 degrees for best image quality but for pictorial purposes at infinity focus will cover an image circle about equal in diameter to the focal length. There is a little coma at infinity focus but its gone at f/22. In their intended use the image circle is, of course, larger. At 1:1 any lens has double the diameter image circle it has at infinity. -- --- Richard Knoppow Los Angeles, CA, USA |
