Hello. I have a Nikon Coolpix 4300 digital camera. Will a 1 Gig.
Compact Flash card work in it? If not, what is the biggest memory card
I can use in this camera? Any suggestions and advice will be

I know for a fact a 256 will work with no problems, and I'm pretty
sure I've used the 512, also with no problems. Sorry, I don't have a
1gb card so don't know about them.

Any day you learn something isn't a total waste.

Don't know but don't see why not. My understanding is that
the 1 gig type 1 CF is the same size as the lower capacity
cards. The manual indicates only up to 128 meg. But my
first card was 512 meg and it works fine.

CF cards have their own controller and any CF compatible camera should
use any capacity card.

Although not all cameras will be able to make use of a card's capacity
over 2GB. They would need to be FAT32 capable to do that.
