Default Best Printing results: Kodak/Fuji Labs and Paper

Hi,

i will shortly have around 70-100 photos from a Canon 10D to print at 9x6.
I had a look at some pro labs and found out that most use Fuji Frontier on
Fuji paper.

There are a couple printing on Kodak Endura Paper. A Few questions:

1- Since my file will be processed, does it make a difference to which
Froniter it goes. Two different labs with same machine and paer, how

different can the results be ? Is there additional processing taking place
while printing ? If yes, doesnt that take away all the hours we spent
working, post-processing our files ?

2- What is your personal hands-on experience ? Fuji or Kodak Printing ? I
assume no 'tweaking' from the printers, so a comparison of printers/papers
is fair.

3- Which * UK - United Kingdom * - based lab would you recommend ? My
shortlist is as follows:

Kodak:
http://www.spectrumphotolabs.co.uk
http://www.lab35.co.uk

Fuji:
http://www.prcphoto.co.uk
http://www.colorbase.co.uk
http://www.dscolourlabs.co.uk
http://www.focalpointphotographic.co.uk
http://www.forestphotographic.com
http://www.peak-imaging.com

Yes, i know, it's too long to be a short-list.I have left out some
ridiculously priced ones. I would appreciate some feedback for any of the
above labs - i wouldnt like cost to be my 1st criterio of choosing. I also
dont care about hosting solutions, ftp uploading etc, it's the printing
quality i'm after. I've read some posts that Frontier 'Auto corrects' by
default therefore giving dofferent results from what i've worked at at home.
I'm leaning towards a Kodak solution as i think their papers are heavier as
well.

Any feedback greatly appreciated

The Big difference would be if the printer is balanced properly for the
paper it is printing.

I would choose the Fuji paper over the Kodak paper especially if it is being
printed on a Fuji Frontier.

Fuji paper is manufactured in the United States.

Take a guess where Kodak is making their products now.

Their film is now being manufactured in Mexico and China.

Try a couple different stores stay with the one that services you best and
try's to meet your needs with the quality you are looking for.

Good Luck,

Gary
