ANSCO Viking 120 Folding Camera

I just bought an ANSCO Viking Camera (one of the newer ones) and my
guestion is: Was this camera an Agfa product? I ask because I've seen
older Agfa Ansco cameras. JimG

According to this page it is an Agfa Record

You say it is one of the newer ones. Which year was it made?

Rolandbe-The seller did not say, but from what I have seen and read
about it, this model was made about 1950 t0 1952. Thanks, JimG.

I've owned two very simlar cameras...6x6 rather than 6x9 as shown
by earlier poster. The two were identical except that once said
Ansco Speedex and the other said Agfa Record

Are you happy with the quality of the photos you have taken with it?
Are they cameras that you like enough use often? (The Viking is said
to be a later version of the Afga Record, but 6x9.) JimG.

I've since sold both of them as I have better performers, but the
Ansco Speedex, bought for $12 in a junk store in Maine, was one of my
all time best dollar earning cameras. I used to keep it in my lunchbox
when I worked in a boatyard specializing in commercial fishing boats and
sold many, many brokerage listing photos to owners who were trying to
sell their boats.
This camera only has a slow three element anastigmat lens. It is
decent stopped down to f/8 or smaller...but it's no Xenotar. But it's
dollors earned to dollars expended ratio was outstanding!
