Default 50mm f 1.2 L USM lens Canon

Has anyone tried this lens?
Would it be worth the investment vs 50mm 1.4
Would it be worth the investment vs 85mm 1.2

what would be the big difference from 1.4f to 1.2f?

The 50mm 1.4 is fun and has some great detail if not wide open but it's not
in the same league as the 50mm f/1.2 L.

Oops, no reviews there for the 1.2 as it's not available yet. I have the 1.4
and I stand by my original remarks. You get what you pay for and you can't
expect L quality for only $300.

Interesting, no review yet of the 1.2 but it sounds like an answer to
the discontinued and sought-after 58/1.2 Noct-Nikkor.

Nah,
The OP thinks that buying a lens is an investment.
If something has a use-by date, potential for capital gain is nil.

Have you seen the price of the 85 1.2!!! IMO, well over priced, although a
great lens.

If using a full frame body for people shots, then I would go for an 85mm.
On a cropped body, then I would go for a 50mm.

I have the 50 1.4 and it is a great lens, however I am considering trying
out a 50 1.2L when it comes out for my 20D to see what it's like.
