50mm f 1.2 L USM lens Canon
Has anyone tried this lens?
Would it be worth the investment vs 50mm 1.4 Would it be worth the investment vs 85mm 1.2 what would be the big difference from 1.4f to 1.2f? |

The 50mm 1.4 is fun and has some great detail if not wide open but it's not in the same league as the 50mm f/1.2 L. Read these two reviews http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/s...hp?product=305 http://www.fredmiranda.com/reviews/s...ort=7&thecat=2 |

You get what you pay for and you can't expect L quality for only $300. |

Gray Poupon! Bill Crocker Nah, The OP thinks that buying a lens is an investment. If something has a use-by date, potential for capital gain is nil. |

50mm f 1.2 L USM lens Canon
Have you seen the price of the 85 1.2!!! IMO, well over priced, although a
great lens. If using a full frame body for people shots, then I would go for an 85mm. On a cropped body, then I would go for a 50mm. I have the 50 1.4 and it is a great lens, however I am considering trying out a 50 1.2L when it comes out for my 20D to see what it's like. wrote in message ups.com... Has anyone tried this lens?
