Recoring deleted photos

If you have not written to the card since you deleted the file, you are
almost certain to be able to recover the file, using software such as WinHex
which can be downloaded from www.winhex.com. I'm not sure how much
functionality you get without registering and paying for the software.

If you have written to the card since you deleted the file, you *may* be
able to retrieve the file. The more you have written to it, the less is the
chance of recovery, because there is a greater chance that part of the file
may have been overwritten: you only need to have overwritten one cluster of
the file to completely knacker the ability to read a JPEG file, though some
JPEG viewing software is more forgiving and will at least display everything
up to the point of corruption.
