Default E6 control strips / densitometer

My Epson flatbed scanner has a densitometer of a kind. I wonder if it'd
be accurate enough for comparing of a Fuji control strip processed in
my Jobo with a sample control strip provided by the Fuji.

If I do need to get a densitometer, what brands /model do you
recommend? The cost is an issue, as always.
