i already own a canon 20 d .. i was looking foward to upgrade to the canon
eos 1ds mark 2 Tony Polson wrote: the reason i havent bought it as yet is perhaps my product knowledge is a lil weak ... so i asked.. thanks anyways. Perhaps you should start with a beginner's camera, such as the Canon EOS 350D (Rebel RT) or Nikon D70, and work upwards from there. -- Message posted via PhotoKB.com http://www.photokb.com/Uwe/Forums.as...l-slr/200507/1 |

well i am considering the 1dsmark2 mainly because i am going to be shooting
sills for a feature film .. and with the 20 d i am afraid i will not be able to make as many blow ups because of the resolution ..as the film publicity posters wiould require larger files. I am a huge fan of digital cameras, but unless you are going to be shooting a lot of stills for movies posters a MF camera would be more cost effective. The 1Ds Mark 2 will be in many ways a lot easier to use and avoids the need to scan the film later, but it has a pretty high price tag, as you well Scott |

You're going to be shooting window sills for a feature film and you can't even write or post properly? Damn, the film industry must be dropping their standards. Greg |
