Default Weird computer/photography problem

This is a bit strange so bear with me.
I have 2 pix taken within minutes of each other using the same camera
set on automatic.
I put the camera's memory card in the PC to view them and they both
look perfect.
I save them to my desktop, without any fiddling about with resizing or
anything and they both look perfect.
I then uploaded them to photobucket and one of them is still just as
good as it was on the desktop but the other one looks like it has been
blown up from a smaller picture. Pixillated (sp?) and with bits of blue
tinge all over the place.
The 2 pix are linked below.
You may well say that I shouldn't have used auto for both pix but
remember they are both perfect when viewed on the PC from the memory
card or from the saved image.
Any clues what I'm doing wrong?

Richard..... On my desktop, the 1st picture is as clear and well
defined as the second one.

I see jagged edges along sharp boundaries, just as one would
expect from the number of pixels in the image.

Online photo services resize the images, and often further compress them
to reduce file size. This is on top of the fact that many of them don't
use color management, so you might end up with color problems if your
original image was in, say, AdobeRGB instead of sRGB.

There's no evidence of pixelation, but there is some color change.

If you look at the full car, you see the dash in in shadow and seem
like it's a bit blue. But in the pic of just the dash, it's tan. It
also appears to be reversed, because the steering wheel is on the wrong
side :-))

But that color difference is just from the shadow and nothing the web
site did to you.

From your description it would seem that the problem, if any, is actually
with Photo bucket, who have perhaps changed a "b" to an "f", without telling
you.

OK, I'm even more confused now, lol
You guys seem to be saying that the picture of the car is fine but if
you look at this eBay discussion forum thread.................

http://forums.ebay.co.uk/thread.jspa...1553 33675760

........there is a picture there that is exactly as I see the picture on
my desktop.
Does the photobucket picture look the same?

Looks pretty much the same to me.

Maybe you have some weird cache problem. See what you can do to empty
to temp files, etc. Plus, of course, reboot and see what happens.
