Possible to extract high resolution b/w from a raw file?

As with the Explorer, I'd accidentally dropped the 500 on the floor, several times. Happily, no damage (functional or cosmetic) has ever befallen, either one...which is a true testament to MS hardware's ruggedness. There are tons of things one can drop without damage from the table to the floor. And my papermaker really makes rugged paper, you can drop it from a skyscraper ... and these ballons, fill them with helium and 'drop' them from a plane --- really really rugged. Rugged is when you can wack someone with a keyboard to death and then continue typing without problems. (Though you might want to clean out the blood before flies are attracted to your keyboard.) -Wolfgang |

"crapbook"? Nope! That is just you being obnoxious in your biased ignorance. ....and to own the hardened Panasonic you have to spend $3460, about $800 more than the MacBook Pro 17 for a lesser machine with a hardened case. You get "genuine" Windows Vista, 13.3 inch display, 1.2 GHz Core 2, 160 GB HDD, 2 GB RAM, 802.11a/b/g WiFi. It also weighs 2.6 Lbs. more than the MacBook pro with a 17 inch display. http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp... Toughbook-30 So thanks for the example of a lower spec Windows machine costing more than a Macbook Pro, which might be a little bit more thugish. -- Regards, Savageduck |

I'd neglected to add, "optical" and "cordless" as my personal requirements. I agree with optical, cordless no. I don't like replacing batteries. Rechargeable cells alleviate such a concern. They have to be recharged. More importantly, harder to lose a corded mouse. Oh, come on! Anybody who'sthat absentminded, has greater problems than a mere mouse. Yes I can be oblivious to my surroundings. That is not being absentminded. I never said I was perfect. When I had my office one of the cleaning people moved my waste basket to the other side of my desk. I ended up with a pile of papers where the basket used to be. The only cordless device I use is my Wacom pen. In 2001, I'd bought a Wacom "Graphire" (mouse, pen and tablet set) and a "Jam Studio" graphics tablet. I didn't use either one, beyond that year; maybe, I'll dig 'em out, someday. Once I got used to it, I wouldn't be without one. -- Peter |
