Poor TV output on Konica Minolta A2

I purchased an A2 in April this year and I am happy with everything aboutthe
camera apart from the poor output from the camera when showing a slideshow
direct to a TV. The images look dull and slightly out of focus.
I yesterday bought my son a Konica Minolta Z2 and the output to TV is much
better than the A2. I then transferred some pics from the A2 compact flash
to the Z2 SD card and played them back on the TV with the Z2 and they were
much better.
Is there a known problem with the A2 TV output or is there something wrong
with my camera.
