Nikon D2Hs with a Minolta 85mm/F1.4 Portrait lens?
I am purchasing a Nikon D2Hs camera soon and was considering selling
my (new) Minolta 85mm F1.4 lens. However, I don't know if that lens could be used on the Nikon, and whether it would be useful. Its a beautiful lens, and I suspect it could be quite a nice telephoto on a DX format camera. Any thoughts I would greatly appreciate. Thanks! Dean

I think the Maxxum lensmount is somewhat larger than the Nikon mount. If

Thanks anyway I Thought I once saw adapters with incorporated meniscus lenses to allow correct focusing on Nikon bodies (albeit with some loss of optical quality) but I'll be damned if I can find them now.
