EBAY GRINCH STEALS CHRISTMAS

What conditions must exist for above victims to take legal action against ebay for their refusal to deal with seller fraud? eBay has (and still does) maintain that they are only a venue provider. Like the owner of the property a flea market is on, the individual vendors are the responsible parties. Do owners of flea market sites also collect fees for all items displayed on the tables as well as a percentage of the payments of all items sold? Do they also prohibit discussions of transactions that might be made off-site? It sure seems that eBay is far more than a disinterested venue provider. eBay *does* have a system that deals with both buyer and seller fraud. The problem may be that eBay wants to minimize its responsibility and/or liability. |
