Default EOS 10D backup battery

Does anyone know if the 10D will still operate if the backup battery becomes
exhausted? I believe the battery is purely to keep the cameras
settings/date/time etc.

Thanks

Simon

One way to find out is to simply remove it with a good main battery
inserted.
If you can keep shooting... Voila!
You'll have your answer.

Just remember what your favorite sustom settings are, etc.
It shouldn't take more than about five minutes of fiddling to get everything
back where you started.

Then... You can post here and teach the rest of us what you discover!
