I really like the pano.

Can you grab stills while you're recording video?

If you can I haven’t figured it out yet. So at this stage of my climb up the learning curve, no.

How about panoramas?

The panorama feature is a part of the video mode, not the stills camera, and has to be selected via the controller. It then captures a series of individual frames which are stitched together by the DJI software. So capturing a pano interrupts any video, or stills action.

To show how the pano feature works I made a screen capture on the old iPhone I repurposed to use with the MA2 controller. This was from a similar pano I shot 2 days before the one shown in the above link.I was playing with various filters and I was not happy with the result I got from an ND8+CPL.

Sorry, no screen capture for the one above.

If I didn't live almost under the flight path ...

You make me jealous.

You should get yourself a *Mavic Air 2*. I am really enjoying this as something new to keep me occupied.

That is a little awkward. So no flying from the back yard for you.
I hope the house doesn’t rattle too much at certain times of the day. :-(

It's not much of a problem. Its mainly Hercules and Orions with an
occasional 757 or visiting C5A. Prevailing winds are W/SW so we are on
the approach path which is not so bad.

Here is what the controlled airspace around me looks like. My closest potential problem areas are the two military bases at Camp Roberts, a California National Guard base which has an active airfield, and Fort Hunter Liggett, which has a special use airspace type, Military Operations Area (LOW A MOA) which intermittently restricts

altitude for civil aviation , and sUAS (civilian drones) during operations via NOTAM notification, and even that is not a huge problem. Even though we have some military aircraft occasionally flying over, and around us, that hasn't happened yet. What is more likely is a no fly notification due to local CalFire aerial tanker fire
fighting operations, especially since they have a big attack base at Paso Robles airport.

What are the NZ laws governing UAS flying in low traffic controlled airspace? If you have that knowledge.

How much trouble would it be for you to drive to an area where you were out of the zone, and you could fly a drone?
