Default Photoshop Academic Version - Differences?

I see that Photoshop CS is available at a lower price for students. I
looked around on-line and haven't been able to determine an "Academic
Version" even exists. It appears the full version is available to
students at a discount. Can someone verify whether the Photoshop CS
available under the educational discount is the same as the regular
version or if is a "Student/Teacher Edition" with some features
missing.

It is the same. The only difference is whether you're qualified to buy it
at the educational price.

I have the student version of CS, and so far I haven't run into anything
that'd indicate it's been shorted. What does your teacher say?

Absolutely identical...except that the "welcome screen" says educational
version.
There is no other difference whatsoever.
