Why would anybody use a PC when driving a car???

Why wouldn't they if they can do more on a PC than on a phone or a tablet,
you've been explaining how much better a desktop is for what people want
to do.

Would someone want to drive a car while carrying out brain surgery?

... what about driving a car while making a pizza?

... or driving a car while knitting a plaid jersey?

absurd examples.

Then why should they be driving a car while writing an email?

because writing an email or texting can be done via dictation, ideal
while in a car, plus the person could also be a passenger.

Dictating is not writing.

another stupid argument.

emails and texts can be sent via dictation or typing and the recipient
does not care nor can they even tell.

The passenger could be carrying out brain surgery, or making a pizza,
or knitting a plaid jersey. But by definition, passengers are not
driving a car.

but they're still in a car, where doing any of that is difficult to
impossible.

Whisky-dave says...

I don;t want a 14" screen for working on thanks I have a 27 inch screen at home and at work I also have a 24" screen dula monitors.

and and a keyboard and you
can't connect external HDDs to them.

I can have cloud storage and as much as I want.

The cloud won't help in places where there is no connectivity (or poor
connectivity).

One more thing, the notebook comes with Windows, meaning you can run all
Windows software on it.

which is very rare, but you can always download whatever is needed
before you visit those locations, so it's a non-issue.

so what?

windows is not always the best choice in every case.

Not in the context of the discussion. You are trying to change the
subject.

emails and texts can be sent via dictation or typing and the recipient
does not care nor can they even tell.

The passenger could be carrying out brain surgery, or making a pizza,
or knitting a plaid jersey. But by definition, passengers are not
driving a car.

Not as difficult or impossible as when actually driving the car, which
was the original context.

You seem to often do that when brought back to the subject.

i never left the subject.

*you* came up with the absurd examples, such as brain surgery in a
moving vehicle. *you* are the one trying to change the subject.

Not always. There are lots of things that cannot be DL, without
additional cost.

cost isn't the issue, and is not applicable for one's own files anyway.

once again, you're arguing just to argue.
