That's a 1:1 crop from a 12.7 megapixel image - difficult to equal with 35mm
film on a tripod, let alone handheld.

What focal length did you shoot that at?

28mm. The request was for 24, but the lens doesn't go that wide.

Have you tried it? I have. Couldn't do it with an SLR, even with a
70- 200mm f/2.8 VR. The mirror bounce, even on an EOS 30, causes
too much movement at that speed. The picture in question was taken
with a Leica M3 and a Summicron 50mm at f/2 with a shutter speed of
1/8 second. No tripod, just about 6 beers.

I tried this with a 28-135mm on a D60 and on an EOS30. The results
were not as good as what I have managed on an M3 or an M6.

How about 75mm at 1/8th?
