Default Tray Development

I have been a big fan of tray development for 26 years. There is a step by step
article on our web site in the Free Articles section

www.viewcamera.com

I can do 6-8 sheets at a time for different development times in one session.
The keys are emulsion side down and rotate the stack every minute or so.

Heh, I just tried 2 at a time for the same development time and scratched
the living bejeezus out of my negs. Ah well, practice makes perfect, I
suppose!

I do 4-6 at a time (8x10) emulsion side up and as long as the developer is
about 70 degrees or less then the scratching is not to bad. Warmer developer
makes scratchier negs. I find Tri-X the best. T-max scratches easier.
