It's pretty stunning, actually. not just the mac line, but it's about to flip the industry on its ass. one of the more amusing benchmarks was a final cut render of a 4k (or maybe 8k) video on an intel macbook versus a new m1 macbook. the intel macbook drained its battery and had to be plugged in to continue the task to completion. meanwhile, the m1 macbook finished in less time and did so with something like 75% battery remaining. this is from memory so numbers may not be exact. and that's with the *slowest* of the apple silicon macs... |
