"Dave Coffin of DCRaw has decrypted the Nikon NEF white balance and has
made it publicly available. What is interesting about it is that he
says that Phase One, Foveon, Canon and Sony all encrypt their raw
format. That makes the Adobe attack on Nikon appear to have a hidden
agenda.
