No, but HD scientific programs, documentaries, the better drama series,
historical material shows, movies, Sci-Fi, news programs, music videos
and concerts of all kinds, and sports (for those interested in the vast glut
of the last...) are...

Right as rain. Lacrosse and Hockey esp. benefit from the higher clarity.

Moreover, it's possible to capture digitally, [with a DSLR!; or film,
then scan], a frozen frame on a large HD TV. Try it sometime for a laugh.
