See www.dpreview.com and you will see many (esp. earlier) Nikon,
Konics-Minolta, Pentax were mainly CCD.


For that matter, Oly uses NMOS based sensors in some of their cameras.


Sony's A350 DSLR has a CCD sensor, whereas the lower resolution A300
has CMOS. The A350 is over a year old now, and may have been the last of
their CCD DSLRs.


What part of "earlier" and "were" was ambiguous?
