So whatever XProtect is, if you had a copy of that .dmg now,
Proton should have been stopped.

Normally, you'd be specifically targeted for such a thing.
Like, industrial espionage... or personal revenge. It's funny
to be spraying the community with that. Stealing things from people
one at a time, isn't a way to get rich fast. Too much work.
