It's been done, of course, in reality. Micro 4/3 is 1/2 scale FF. No
need for a thought experiment.

The results are mostly indistinguishable unless you are
light-stressed. MFT gathers 4x less light and will show that in the
results.

The biggest differences are MFT gear has fewer top features (AF speed,
top lenses, etc), and MFT guys don't get respect.
