In iganews.com,
Savageduck says...
$2000 for the a7R III, $2300 for the Sony 16-35 f/2.8,
Actually that would be 3000 Euro for the a7R III and 2400 Euro for the
16-35 F2.8 on this side of the ocean. Total 5400 Euro which equals 6200
USD.
Can you really get the a7R III and the 16-35 f/2.8 for just 4300 USD in
the USA? That's dirt cheap compared to European prices.
The numbers I wrote were a guestimate based on what I have read.
After a check with B&H.
a7R III body only $2998.00
FE 16-35mm f/2.8 GM - $2198.00
Total: $5,196.00 or 4,509 Euro

Was that Tax-in on the US side?
B&H does not add NY sales tax to out of state orders.
They do charge for foreign shipping.
Add typical VAT to your Euro price (20%): €5410.
That is going to be unavoidable even if ordered for B&H for a Euro sale.
But US sales taxes would be far less...
Here in California sales tax ranges from 7% to 8.25% Use tax* depending on
location.
