I would be quite leery of buying from a seller who would resort to such
a misleading and obviously deceptive sales pitch.

Sorry, I started the auction at one cent. What else should I say? You
could have got lucky.

I think that your subject line made your auction misleading. One cent would
not have touched your reserve price. Nothing wrong with a reserve. It
protects you from taking a loss.

Good luck on your auction.

How could we have "gotten lucky" since you had a reserve? Your message
implied someone could buy the camera for a cent, which was nothing but a
lie. And if you lied about the price, how can we trucst anything else you
might have to say about the camera?

Lisa's right, I wouldn't buy from you either.

How could anyone have "gotten lucky" as you put it? Your subject line said
"Only 1 Cent!" leading one to believe that the starting price was indeed,
one cent. It is not however. That is just the starting bid... your
starting price is what you have set as a reserve.

A more appropriate subject would have said something to the effect of..
"FA - Canon Rebel G w/lens - bidding begins at 1 cent! Low reserve" It
might also have been nice to mention that this set is damaged, and will
likely need a new lens at the very least.

I went and took a look at the auction... the seller has a brand new
identitiy with zero feedback, and a whole laundry list of things for sale.
Given my experience with Ebay and what I've seen over the last couple of
years there, and the misleading post here... I would say that it appears
that this guy had so much negative feedback that no one would buy from him
any longer... so he changed his identity. I have no solid facts to back
this statement up mind you.. just experience and a gut feeling. He knows
too much about posting the auctions to be brand new there.

It's too bad that Ebay does not tie your feedback to you, so that even if
you change identities, your past history could still be looked at. It can
be done via IP address so no matter what name a guy uses he would still be
known. You would need a different account and/or a different service
provider..

Oh well.

Are you trying to say that I, or someone, could actually have bought the
camera for 1 cent? Lies on top of lies, that's a great way to instill
confidence in potential buyers.

At any rate, thanks for confirming to all of us that you're a shady
dealer.

OK CHRIST. Forgive me, Im new to ebay , and Im selling so much ****
because I have to move across the state for my job and I dont have the
money to afford it. If you find it so offensive, then for christs sakes
just dont frickin bid on it! You can all ponder and pontificate whether
I am some crooked asshole or whatever - Somebody will luck out and buy a
nice camera for about 1/4 of what its worth and it wont be you. oh well.
