...but in recent years Apple has made it increasingly difficult for
third-parties to sell used or new iPhones, iPads and Apple Watches.

no they haven't.

...Amazon will remove any non-authorized third-party sellers selling
Apple products from the platform.

it's about ****ing time.

now, if only they would remove *all* non-authorized sellers for all
products so customers stopped getting ripped off.

no. apple has not made it more difficult for third parties to sell
their products, especially used, over which they have absolutely zero
control.

*genuine* parts, from authorized sellers.

non-authorized sellers sell fake crap that in many cases, can be
dangerous, particularly chargers and batteries. they even use stock
photos to fraudulently deceive buyers, and get away with it.

it ain't just apple either. there is a *lot* of fake crap being sold at
amazon because amazon makes it incredibly easy to do and profits
greatly from it.

removing scammers is a good thing.

When a company keeps a tight reign on its products, prices never drop.

no they don't, and the issue is scammers ripping people off selling
fake stuff, not legitimate sellers selling genuine products.

When
products become widespread in terms of whom they can be bought from, prices drop.

apple products are widely available at competitive prices. even costco
sells them, along with walmart and many other sellers.
