Photoshop installation error
After a Win10 update, Photoshop stopped working. I tried uninstall and
reinstall, but kept getting errors, and warnings. "FATAL: Error (Code = 160) executing in command 'SetRegistryValueCommand' for package: 'AdobePhotoshop18-Core_x64', version:18.1.1.252 FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: AdobePhotoshop18-Core_x64 Version: 18.1.1.252). Error code: '160' WARN: Error Setting Registry - Start 64-bit:1 root:2 key:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\Photoshop.exe name:Default type:REG_SZ data:C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC 2017\Photoshop.exe. Check for Registry permissions. (Error: Error 5 Access is denied.)" I checked the Adobe forums and got an answer that worked. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2342594 I thought I would pass this on in case anyone else had a similar issue. -- PeterN |

Isn't the software market wonderful, for the people selling it (or subscriptions to it). Instead of having a real tech department to pay for, their recruit unpaid "community" users to solve all the f------ problems for them. Genius. I'll bet the camera makers wish they could do this with their products. I linked a free alternative the other day. Anythoughts? Just another free, me too wannabe. It's free for the taking though and eight bit editing should be sufficient for most iPhone and Xperia snappers... https://itunes.apple.com/se/app/phot...or-pixelstyle/ id1244649277?l -- teleportation kills |

Except you said above; “It’s free for the taking though and eight bit editing should be sufficient for most iPhone and Xperia snappers.” I seriously doubt that most iPhone, or Xperia snappers have a desktop, macOS, or Win10 to use for editing. it has to do with problems Win10 users are having after an update to install Adobe CC apps, specifically Photoshop CC.
