Does anyone know where I can buy filters like 87c and 89b for IR
photography in Nikon sizes (52, 72 & 77mm) in the UK?

You probably will have to use EK Wratten gels. Tiffen in the US sells
(or did sell) glass-mounted EK Wratten gels made to custom order.

Look for B+W or a Tiffen dealer, they both make those filters as does Hoya

B&W makes them. It is a German source, so I presume you can get them in the
UK. Rather expensive, but very, very good.
