I have a Nikon 6006 body in very good condition...
Except... The internal pop-up flash doesn't work. The story, in case
you are interested... On a wet day in Alaska, I kept the camera in a
plastic bag, still some wet must have gotten into the camera. The
internal flash is dead, really dead. If you pop-up the flash, there's a
sputter... arc'ing sound inside.
In every other respect, the camera functions perfectly. (I guarantee
your satisfaction or money back; we split the shipping.)
Condition: Very good to excellent overall. Some scratches on the
bottom, no wear-thru, looks good. Door latch is fine. Inside it's
mint- and clean (only mark is where the roller rubs on the take-up
spool. I am the original owner; the camera has had light use and good
care. Included: a new battery (cost me $12).
Why you might want to buy this camera? The 6006 is the only Nikon that
has the flash exposure compensation circuitry built-in the camera.
With any Nikon-compatible TTL flash, you get the ability to adjust
flash exposure in 1/3 stop increments, just you can do on the expensive
SB-26, SB-28, etc. Nikon quickly figured out they could sell more of
their expensive flashes if this circuitry was NOT in the camera.
I want this to go to someone who is using a 6006 already and knows the
camera. I don't recommend this item as a first or only camera. If
this is right for you, you'll get a bargain. Make offer, email or call
me 617-227-0106.
