Has anyone done any lens testing for resolution or MTF for the Mamiya
Universal line of lenses?

I'm curious.

The 100 f/2.8 has such a wonderful look to it that I don't overmuch care,
but I was looking around on the Internet and found very little material.

The 100/2.8 is the Mamiya copy of the Zeiss Planar 100/2.8 with similar
data - but that's what I heard some time ago and I do not have data either...

Hi

Most of these type lenses have somewhat of a spike in contrast (over 100%) at
low resolution values.

They produce an image designed for about 4 times magnification. Thats the look
you are seeing.

You kind of get that look with Hasselblad lenses. Unlike Mamiya, Hasselblad
has reports about their lens designs and how they are designed around this MTF
spike.
